Teacher interface for Blueprint

Overview

To better understand how we can help teachers use Blueprint, we conducted a series of interviews.

The biggest problem that most teachers expressed is time. With 4-6-year old kids, teachers literally have no free second during class time. And they cannot afford spend time analysing usage and mastery charts.

We needed to create a system that not only shows the data, but also suggests what to do. Something that a teacher could grasp in a matter of seconds.

We have come up with the following concepts:

  • Students tab shows student progress in real-time. Teachers keep this tab open during class time.
  • Alerts tab highlights problems and provides recommendations.
  • Goals tab can be used to motivate students achieve weekly goals.
